What a wonderful idea... wish I had got there first.
I love web page design. It seems to be a huge puzzle. Meticulous code, rampant "commas" and "semi-colons" rule the day. And getting that layout just right is a huge chore. But the payoff is well worthwhile.
I like the idea that something I created is seen by, hopefully millions, and that they may enjoy it or use it for some further purpose. They might even be inspired to doing something of their own.
